Safety and Focus on the future.
Naturally, we learn from the past, but we also keep an eye out for “leading indicators,” which means we put a lot of emphasis on prevention and improvement. Daily measurements of everything are sent to every terminal. By doing this, we raise our standards and create international best practices. For our safety program, continuous measurement means ongoing performance improvement. Safety observation rounds are regularly conducted by management and operating staff. They are instructed to identify potential improvement areas. Their findings are noted, assessed, and taken into consideration.
Since reporting close calls increases the likelihood that incidents won’t happen again, we strongly encourage all of our employees to do so. The root cause of a near-miss is identified in order to ensure that it never occurs again. Near-misses are treated as real incidents. Daily measurements of everything are sent to every terminal. By doing this, we raise our standards and create international best practices. All of us at Houston Storage Center LLC. feel a duty to the environment that goes above and beyond the minimal standards we have set for ourselves and the laws that are relevant to our business.
